The sporting calendar particularly catches my eye, with both the Vancouver Giants and Langley Rivermen hitting home ice, offering multiple chances to experience the thrill of live hockey.
Speaking of hockey, I'd be remiss not to highlight what promises to be an electrifying Saturday evening, as Team Canada faces off against the United States in the 4 Nations FaceOff tournament, with puck-drop at 5pm PT. The game will be broadcast on Sportsnet.
While not technically a local event, this matchup will undoubtedly rile up a not-insignificant amount of national pride, with living rooms across the Great Domain transformed into passionate cheering sections.
For those embracing the rivalry's full spirit, feel free to exercise your patriotic preferences during the anthems from the comfort of your couch.
The weekend culminates in a Family Day celebration that showcases our region's rich heritage and aviation history. Both the Canadian Museum of Flight and Fort Langley National Historic Site are opening their doors for special Family Day programming, offering our community meaningful ways to connect with local history while creating new memories together.
